Mitzvah Opportunities
Are you looking for a chance to help out?

Many of the synagogues and organizations in the area organize special events in the community to help the sick, poor, elderly, or anyone in need. Some of these events are take place on a specific date, while others are ongoing throughout the year.
If you are interested in helping out, please contact the person listed.

Sunday, Nov 4 2007Kerem Shalom Mitzvah Day. This year there are many opportunities to participate. In particular, you can collect winter outerwear, books, household items, or discarded prescription glasses. If you want to get involved contact Nancy Kaplan at 978-369-5780 or familyed@keremsahlom.org
Sunday, June 3 2007Congregation Shalom Mitzvah Day. Activities will include: Outreach to Elders, Childrens Craft and Music Projects, Fundraising for Local Service Organizations, Red Cross Blood Drive, Assisting Local Homeless Families, Community Clean-ups, and more. Please contact Mitzvah Day committee at mitzvahday@congregationshalom.org for more information.
 
Ongoing Mitzvah Opportunities
The following activities occur throughout the year, and are always looking for interested volunteers.
 
Cause Description
Breast Cancer AwarenessActon Concord Area Hadassah Check it Out Program. This program serves juniors and seniors in high school with breast cancer and testicular cancer awareness. Please contact Amy Degen via email at amyhope@charter.net.
Concord Park SeniorsOn the First Firday of every month, Kerem Shalom volunteers lead the Shabbat services. Contact Nancy Kaplan at familyed@keremshalom.org.
